Bolovanu Winery is located on the left side of the Olt River, in the center of the vineyard, with a beautiful panorama of vineyard terraces, overlooking Olt and, on clear days, overlooking the Ramnicu Valcea Mountains.
Southern, South-Eastern, South-Western exposure, high temperature during the year, long duration of sunlight of 10-14 hours / day, properties of reddish brown soil, clay-illuvial, rich in gravel (boulders), in oxides of iron and calcium, but also naturally and artificially created terraces provide excellent natural conditions for grape cultivation. We have in the plantation Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Negru de Dragasani, Merlot, Pinot Noir and, starting with 2021, a series of white grape varieties.
The local man - the head of Castel Bolovanu for 23 years Ion Treanta and our oenologist, Iustin Urucu, together with their team managed to make famous the two historical brands of Cabernet Sauvignon: Soare and Castel Bolovanu. Wines that we invite you to discover.
The winery is located 70 km away from Pitesti City, 170 km from Bucharest, 80 km from Craiova and 50 km from the town of Ramnicu Valcea, respectively the tourist areas Horezu, Govora, Calimanesti.
