DOMENIILE SAHATENI - AURELIA VISINESCU - BUZAU (MUNTENIA / DEALU MARE )

The vineyards are located near Dealu Mare,on the hills surrounding the Carpathian Mountains. This region is well-known for the high quality grapes and vineyards and benefits from different types of clay-loam soil with limestone bedrock. The company owns 76 hectares of vines in Sahateni, Naeni and Fintesti. Our vineyards enjoy exposure to the south.

The idea was born in 2002 and the winery was founded in 2003 by Aurelia Vişinescu and her associate, Steve Cacenco. Domeniile Săhăteni winery has benefited from an investment of over 5 mil eur. The winery has processing facilities of about 1000 tons of grapes / season (800,000 bottles), and the cellar is equipped with two production lines, with controlled fermentation - completely automated - for both red and white wines. The automatic bottling line with a capacity of about 1500 st 75 cl / time allows bottling at the origin. The high-class equipment provides protection against the oxidation of wine by removing air in the cylinder prior to casting and injection of inert gas before closing the bottle.

The underground cellar is equipped with barrels and oak barriques that provide optimal conditions for the aging of certain wines.

Access to the cellar is on the National Road 1B, 7 km from the town Mizil.
